hey ya'll!! Welcome to the 9th culture roundup!! I know this is wild! I'm doing 2 roundups in one week. But I just had to share my experience at this foot reflexology place in Chinatown because it was too amazing to not and I just can't hold it in.
But first! This has absolutely nothing to with nothing...I just NEED to call out the comparison of the Titanic submarine expedition going missing/exploding to Triangle of Sadness. IFYKYK. And if you don't, go watch Triangle of Sadness!! And you will understand. Ok anyway..

Fishion Therapy Center -- 5/5 **would definitely go for a 2nd time in the same month. #love #chinatown
So Elena said that apparently this massage place is Henry's fav spot in nyc. lmao. I actually don't know but apparently he goes here which is a really fun thought for him.
But Sam, Elena and I went here as a lovely little reward for winning THE August competition of all competitions..
An Easter Egg Hunt.
Hahha
Yes, we gathered the most eggs during our spring August retreat upstate. See this really fun TikTok Neddy made about it. And finally months later! We got the massage. Btw i've never had a reflexology massage before. The whole thing was so effing funny. First of all, I'm weak when it comes to massages. Typically, I feel that I have a sort of ever so slightly high tolerance pain but I got a massage recently and it really hurt and I bruised like a little b.
So we got there and we sat down in these cute massage chairs next to each other and this woman helped clean our feet. She was so nice and was cracking jokes that she also needed a massage. Then the other two guys came and started massaging us.
The whole time Elena, Sam and I were joking around with the massuse people to use a lot of pressure even though none of us wanted that. And Sam's masseuse was really giving her shit for being too tense. lmao. In the end tho, they went easy on us (at least for me) and it was really nice. My girl found really intense knots in the arch of my foot which was crazy to feel. And then taught me how to say hurt in chinese which sounds like "tounge." So whenever she went too hard i would shout out "tounge" and she went easier! It was honestly so funny.. I couldn't stop laughing.. also it was ticklish XD
All in all the massage was so good and the pressure was great despite our hysterics lmao. (at one point we were laughing so loud one of the employees told us to be quiet). If you ever need a massage def go here!! The masseuse people were so nice, fun and cracking jokes the whole time which obvi I love.
Love, Jana <3
