Hey ya'll! Welcome to the 10th culture roundup!! I really can't believe we've made it this far. Going to continue shouting out Erin and Elena for the og inspo on these! I have so much fun writing and hope you enjoy! <3 Oh also! I'm posting all my newsletters to this website I started to have all of them in a central place!! www.catchmeifyoucan.club

Radio Bakery -- 5/5 **would definitely go for a 2nd time in the same month. #love #greenpoint

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This morning I had my first shift at the Park Slope Food Coop and it was so cute. I was on cheese duty!! So lmao I basically spent my morning taking cheese inventory and packing/pricing cream cheese. It was so fun and cute. My team lead was a lady from Melbourne, Australia who used to work with Gorillas but is now in charge of the Cheeses at the Coop, which I love hahaha

Then my July Saturday NYC summer adventure began!!

I took my beloved bike on a cute lil trip all the way to Greenpoint! For those who don't know, pictured below is my new bike which I've been aggressively riding because I'm really obsessed. It's a racer bike and goes so fast and is so fun and has pink handlebars!! It's so cute. And I'm so happy.

Tbh I think Radio Bakery is the farthest north I've been in Brooklyn. And it was oh so lovely. I basically just biked on the path on Kent Ave that starts around the Brooklyn Navy Yard! If you like to bike and you haven't been on this path then you gotta asap! It makes biking in New York so freaking fun. I can just zoom and not stop for lights and sing little songs to myself without worrying too much about getting hit by a car. For the non New Yorkers here, this is what the bike path looks like! (photo credit: flicker, google) lmao #New York doing the bare minimum to make us bikers happy hehe

Anyway, we went to this really cute bakery called Radio Bakery with "locally milled organic flour," so all of their baked goods are *chefs kiss* top of the line. Anyway, the space is really lovely. I love an open layout for a bakery.. As some of you already know from my England edition (#landrace bakery forever and always). So the whole bakery was open and you could see all of the workers doing their thang baking.

The workers were super nice and the line was out the door but went so fast! And is oh so worth the wait. There's no seating inside but there are tables outside and you can just take your treats to go and eat them in one of the parks in Williamsburg if there's no seating available or if you are blistering hot + sweaty like us and need some shade.

We got the pistachio croissant, the brown sugar cornbread and then a loaf of sourdough (I love trying different sourdoughs from around the city!! it's so much fun to have a lovely fresh loaf of sourdough in the house.) And omg everything was so tasty. I honestly have a new love for pistachio croissants.. they might be.. most definitely are... my favorite type of croissant.. now way ahead of pain au chocolat.

So yummy!!

I then biked home and ended my morning with a couple peaches from the farmers market + a bomb pop! I had to rehydrate and all the water in the world couldn't satisfy me after biking 8 miles in the heat. I had 2 peaches in the park and honestly the first bite of the first peach felt like the best bite of my life. It was perfectly juicy and sweet and so yummy. I was literally walking through the farmers market with peach juice falling down my face lmao. Also, I just love bomb pops in the summer especially these bougie ones from Union Market. Here's a funny pic of me eating one.

That's all! So much love. Until next time. Love, Jana <3
